Molfar Agency conducted a market research of IaaS providers in Ukraine. GigaCloud, Parkovyi, DE-Novo, Tucha and Tetcloud took the leading positions.
The final rating included 10 companies, which met the criteria of the research and provided trial access. The research considered such factors as first response time, data loss prevention, pricing policy, technical support efficiency and types of certification.
GigaCloud received the highest marks for its flexible loyalty system, technical support and disk performance. DataStore became the leader in terms of flexible payment terms and how long they have to sign a contract. Cosmonova, United-DC and GigaCloud turned out to be the most affordable services. Their monthly pricing is 800 to 1300 UAH for a company with 5 employees.
United-DC ranked last in technical support efficiency, in addition, the company does not provide protection against data loss and does not refund for the server downtime. Furthermore, United-DC requested identity documents and business verification documents at the very beginning of the communication. "We’ve encountered an absolute refusal to respond to our requests. The provider stated that scanned copies of documents were necessary for security reasons. Our manager showed a lack of interest and had spelling errors in his emails," Molfar analysts noted.
Kyivstar had customer service problems too - they got in touch later than anyone else. "The Sales Consultant often rescheduled a call due to other meetings, and we often heard the noise of other calls in the background during conversations. The Kyivstar consultant chose the time for meetings that was convenient only for him and the technician, but not for the customer," mentioned Artem Starosiek, CEO of Molfar.
Despite all companies claiming they have 24/7 support, only GigaCloud, DE-Novo and Tucha responded within an hour, at night time.
