All the global luxury brands you can think of have worked with her or are eager to do it. Her photos have graced the covers of the world's fashion magazines, and brands are lining up to work with her. Gigi Hadid is one of the highest-paid supermodels in the world. Her career is growing successfully every year, influencing millions worldwide. A New Yorker who will "die of excitement" if she visits Palestine, she deliberately spreads manipulative information about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Her prejudice, misrepresentation, and sharing of fake news fuels hatred of religious and ethnic differences, transmitted to a global audience of millions.

Who is Gigi Hadid?
Gigi Hadid (Jelena Noura Hadid) is a Palestinian-Dutch-born American supermodel. She was born on April 23, 1995, in Los Angeles, USA. Her father, Mohamed Hadid, is a Palestinian emigrant who owns a building business. Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, is of Dutch descent and an ex-TV presenter and model. Gigi has a younger sister, Isabella, and a brother, Anwar. All of them are involved in the modeling business. Almost the entire Hadid family openly supports Palestine, expressing it publicly and sometimes in manipulative ways on social media.
Gigi first modeled for Guess when she was 2 years old. But she started her career in earnest in 2011, signing a contract with IMG Models, a New York-based modeling agency owned by Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc.
She worked for Victoria's Secret, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Michael Kors, Jean Paul Gaultier, Versace, Elie Saab, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger, Giambattista Valli, Balmain, Miu Miu, Max Mara, and others. She is also the campaign ambassador for the sportswear brand Reebok and the mass-market cosmetic brand Maybelline New York. This year, Gigi Hadid became the face of the Jacquemus Fall/Winter 2023 collection. Hadid is one of the highest-paid models in the world nowadays — $30 million is the estimated value of her as a model. She is also developing as a business owner, creating the cashmere clothing brand "Guest In Residence."
The attention of world brands to Gigi is rising every year, as is her influence on the audience, which Hadid shares, among other things, through her social media. More than 79 million followers are subscribed to her Instagram page. She posts photos from fashion campaigns, the backstage of her modeling life, and numerous photo shoots where she acts as the face of a world-famous brand. Gigi is excited when Barbie releases a doll created from her image and her collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger. She also announced a reality show on Netflix with her involvement.
But, of course, Gigi won't be sharing stories on her Instagram about being arrested this year for transporting marijuana to the Cayman Islands — the model got off with a fine. Or the story that she was snorting cocaine at the public event in Miami, which she has denied. The Victoria's Secret "angel" publishes outright fakes, manipulations, racism, and statements that incite ethnic hatred.
Is Gigi Hadid's activism hate speech?
Gigi Hadid is a practicing Muslim. In 2017, she and her sister Bella joined a protest in New York City against the ban and the abolition of visas for Muslim immigrants.
Hadid is one of the "angels" of the Victoria's Secret brand. In 2017, the model was denied a visa to China to take part in the brand's fashion show, presumably because of a video in which she mimicked the face of Buddha. The model was criticized for racism for that. Later, in 2019, the model posted that her villa in Mykonos, Greece, where she was staying on vacation, had been robbed. So she only recommends people to come there (1, 2). She received critical feedback on this post because of these judgments and anti-advertising.
In September 2022, model Hadid announced that she had deactivated her Twitter account (@gigihadid) after Elon Musk bought the company. According to globalvillagespace.com, Gigi's Twitter account was twitter.com/GiGiHadid, and now there is an account with the username @gigihadid. This account contains posts about the Israeli-Palestinian war with a pro-Palestinian viewpoint (1, 2, 3, 4). And recently, in November 2023, the account owner also posted a video (1, 2) with Javier Gerardo Milei, the newly elected pro-American and pro-Israeli Argentine president, who also supports Ukraine, and signed the video: "Argentina, I am so sorry."
Her support for Palestine. In 2018, Gigi Hadid posted a series of posts supporting Palestine on Twitter after 50 Palestinian protesters were killed. Another thousand demonstrators were injured in border protests. Later, the model wrote an explanation: "...For me, this is not about religion or one against the other – it’s about the greed.” After a flurry of criticism, Gigi added a note of clarification: "You will all see whatever side you want to see. It was never my intention to divide groups with hatred — I live my life loving everyone, regardless of religion/race. Therefore, I repeat for the last time: I am not against anyone. I am only for coexistence. That's all." And at the end of the post, she added the hashtag “#FreePalestine.”
On Instagram, Gigi Hadid follows the Palestinian activist Joudie Kalla, a chef and author of culinary articles about Palestinian cuisine. Joudie actively posts pro-Palestinian messages on her Instagram. A few days after the Hamas invasion of Israel, she posted a video in which a man defends the attack on Israel, saying that it is "a response to 70 years of abuse by Israel" and that it is "not terrorism, but confrontation."
Pro-Palestinian statements. Gigi Hadid called the attack on October 10, 2023, an "unjustified tragedy" and added that she "deeply empathizes and sympathizes with the Palestinian struggle." This post received over 2 million likes, and then on her Gigi Hadid Instagram, she stated that "condemning the Israeli government is not anti-Semitism."
The official Israeli Instagram page then contacted her. A post was subsequently released saying that Gigi had received death threats after her statements about the Israeli-Palestinian war forcing her and other members of her family to change their phone numbers.
The Daily Star writes that Hadid transmits the narrative on his social media, saying: “Israel classifies any Palestinian as a 'terrorist,' labels anyone who supports Palestinian rights as an 'anti-Semite' and calls any Jew who opposes the government's actions a 'self-hater.'”
Publishing fake news. On November 26, Gigi Hadid reposted a video on Instagram in which she stated that "Israel is the only country that holds children as prisoners of war." She also added that Israel has been kidnapping, raping, and torturing Palestinians for years and "until October 7." She said of the so-called "Ahmed Mansara case," who stabbed a police officer and a 13-year-old boy in East Jerusalem in 2015 when he was 13. According to Hadid, Mansara was "kidnapped" by Israel.
After the criticism, the model deleted the post.
The next day, on November 27, 2023, Gigi Hadid reposted a video by Umme Murtaza on Instagram, claiming that Israel was collecting the organs of the dead Palestinians.
Hadid subsequently published explanations (1, 2, 3) for disseminating non-verified information, where she stated that she was sorry for not checking the facts. However, the model continues to express its opinion on Israel's attitude toward the Palestinians.
In March 2022, the model was criticized for substituting concepts, comparing the Russian-Ukrainian war with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The pro-Palestinian position in the Hadid family
Mohamed Hadid is the father of Gigi Hadid.
Palestinian immigrant, born on November 6, 1948 in Nazareth. He supports the Palestinians. As of November 2023, his latest Instagram posts are related to the Israeli-Palestinian issue. On October 5, 2022, he posted a GQ cover (1, 2) with an image of his son Anwar Hadid, where he urged Palestinians to "not hide and be proud to be Palestinian" in the caption. He also compared Israel's (his word, the Zionists') attitude toward the Palestinians to Hitler's attitude toward the Jews. Mohamed is a real estate developer. In 2017, he was convicted of illegally building a mega-mansion in Bel Air in breach of city building licenses and was ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.
Yolanda Hadid / Foster is the mother of Gigi Hadid, a former model and TV presenter.
She was born in the Netherlands on January 11, 1964. She does not express a position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in her social media.
Isabella Khairiah Hadid is Gigi's sister, a supermodel.
Bella Hadid was born on October 9, 1996. She supports the Palestinians. On May 15, 2021, she joined the pro-Palestinian demonstrations in New York. She captioned her Instagram post: "This is a free Palestine until Palestine is free!!!" (1, 2). She also joined the Free Palestine protest on September 1, 2023. According to dailymail.co.uk, in 2021, Bella published a post on Instagram with caricatures (1, 2)in which she wrote: "When I say 'Israel,' I mean a group of people, a group of settlers who colonize Palestine." Later, Bella deleted the post. That same year, during the 11-day conflict of the Israeli-Palestinian war, Bella Hadid shared a propaganda photo that she captioned as a photo of the Palestinian football team in 1939. However, it was a manipulation because the team in the picture was the Maccabi team from Tel Aviv, representing the British Mandate of Palestine and including Jewish athletes.
Anwar Hadid is Gigi's brother. He is a model, musician, and producer.
Anvar was born on June 22, 1999. He supports Palestinians (1, 2). He said he "categorically will not be vaccinated against COVID-19" but defended himself as not being an antivaccinationist.
Other family members and friends
Marielle Hadid is a half-sister and a designer. She does not express a position on the conflict on Instagram.
Alana Hadid is another half-sister. She supports the Palestinians. On December 7, 2017, she published a post supporting the Palestinians and disagreement with the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel (1, 2) after Trump announced the move of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
